Danny “Lissome” Guzmán
Co-Owner of Style FX/Program Director/Instructor
Danny was raised playing instruments and dancing to traditional “Puerto Rican” music since the age of 3, but began Breakin’ a.k.a. “Breakdancing” around 10yrs old. His older brother introduced him to the art-form/lifestyle and he fell in-love with its abstract forms of self-expression along with the historical context Latino Culture has in relation to Hip-Hop Culture. In the Fall of 2009, Danny’s journey as a Dancer, Instructor, Mentor, and Educator officially started. Since then, he’s received a Community Builders Award from the United Way of Central Massachusetts, performed for NASA, several local Parades, Multi-Cultural Festivals, and for State Representatives in New England. He even made a cameo in the music video “Just Let Go” by Joyner Lucas & Chris Brown. He’s traveled North America competing against and learning from some of the best dancers in the world as well as guest teaching, lecturing, and presenting his work at various Schools, Colleges, and Universities in Massachusetts. Danny is also a Fitness Coach with over 10yrs of experience training children, teens, college athletes, and adults. His passion for sports provided the opportunity to coach recreationally but also at elite levels such as his time working at UMass Lowell. “What was once a hobby turned into an outlet that became a successful career” working with individuals of all levels, ages, and racial backgrounds.
Rebecca Bustillos
Co-Owner of Style FX/Creative Director/Instructor
Rebecca “Becca” Bustillos first fell in love with Hip-Hop at a young age when her older brother introduced her to artists such as Tupac, Mobb Deep, and Nas. Her passion for the music manifested itself in dance choreography for her friends. Unbeknownst to her at the time, that experience would lead to a twenty-year career in dance instruction. Becca studied at Greenfield Community College where she received the Carolyn Nims McClellan dance scholarship. She trained with Jennifer Weber at Mount Holyoke College and has worked as a guest teacher at New England colleges, high schools, and dance studios. In addition to dance instruction, Becca also has fifteen years of business management experience. In 2007, Becca founded the Crazefaze Dance Crew, which is a Ladies Hip-Hop Crew from Western, MA. The crew has since performed in competitions, for charity, and with flash mobs. They are well known within the community for spreading the love of Hip-Hop. Becca and Crazefaze have received multiple awards in both dance and choreography. According to Becca, dance is what has gotten her through life. Her philosophy is that taking a situation and bringing it from a negative to a positive with dance is life changing. Everyone has their own struggles and difficulties in life, but through dance you can heal. Dance has been her therapy for many years, and she continues to pass it on to the younger generation.
